Garrett P. Tyler is a Nashville-based musical director, producer, composer and drummer working across international touring, television, recorded music and film.

His collaborations include Zara Larsson, Addison Rae, Adela, Kesha, For King & Country, Steven Curtis Chapman, Marc Scibilia and Judah & the Lion. Across these projects, his work encompasses musical direction, arranging, programming, band leadership and live performance, helping artists translate their vision into fully realized musical experiences. In the studio and on screen, his work extends to record production, soundtrack production, original film scores and session performance.

Garrett’s own artistic projects are a central part of his creative identity, bringing his work as a performer, producer and composer together in original music. His debut solo album, New Normal, introduces his voice as a recording artist, with collaborations including DAVIE and a body of work that extends from the studio into live performances and music videos. With DXG HAUS, his collaborative project with Danny Lopez, that expression takes a shared form through releases including the Find My Friends EP and Ponce. Together, these projects give Garrett space to shape the music from its earliest ideas through production and performance, building a body of work that reflects his own musical perspective and the creative relationships behind it.

Garrett holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education from Arkansas State University and a master’s in Commercial Drumset Performance from Belmont University, where he studied with Chester Thompson (Genesis, Phil Collins, Frank Zappa and Weather Report) and Todd London. His background also includes performing with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, contributing to a DCI World Championship title and appearing internationally at events such as Switzerland’s Basel Tattoo. Through the corps’ System Blue program, he taught clinics and masterclasses around the world. Together, these experiences established a foundation of precision, versatility and musical leadership that continues to inform his work.
